Candle Care: Enjoy Your CoziNests Candle Longer

To ensure a safe and enjoyable burn, please follow these simple steps:

• First Burn Matters:
  • Allow the candle to burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the vessel. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn for future use. (This may take 2-4 hours).
• Wick Trimming:
  • Trim the wick to 1/8 inch before each lighting. This promotes a steady flame, prevents sooting, and minimizes "mushrooming."
• Burn Time:
  • To maximize fragrance and candle life, burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.
• Extinguishing:
  • Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame. Avoid blowing it out, as this can cause wax splattering.
• Flame Safety:
  • If the candle smokes, flickers, or the flame becomes too high, extinguish it immediately. Let it cool, trim the wick, and check for drafts before relighting.
• Scent Throw:
  • For optimal fragrance, burn in a closed room. Open windows and doors will disperse the scent.
• Sunlight:
  • Keep candles away from direct sunlight to prevent wax discoloration.
• Final Burn:
  • Do not burn the candle all the way down. Leave at least ½ inch of wax at the bottom.
• General Safety:
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Use long matches or a long lighter to avoid getting too close to the flame.
  • Keep candles at least 12 inches away from flammable materials.
  • Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.
